Polyester
It is a manmade fiber produced from the material used to manufacture plastic bottles. It is inexpensive, scratchy and stiff. Mostly polyester is mixed with other materials such as cotton to make it softer and durable. It enhances its quality.
Microfiber is fine polyester and its sheets are soft. They are less breathable than cotton. If you are a hot sleeper then it is not a good choice for you but good for kids’ bedrooms because they are stain-resistant and durable.
Nylon is another synthetic material that is used to manufacture durable and soft bed sheets. It is not suggested for hot areas or for iron. When you spread it in sunlight then it can create problems.
